Hi, my name is Zoƫ Thayer and welcome to K9 Logic!

Although I’ve had and loved dogs before, it wasn’t until I was researching dog behaviour in an effort to help some friends with their two very unruly Irish wolf hounds that I came across Jan Fennell’s first book The Dog Listener.

I was immediately struck by the simple and non-confrontational methods that, in a matter of weeks, transformed two badly behaved and uncontrollable dogs into relaxed, stress-free, well behaved canine companions.

Soon after this I introduced an adult dog to my own household. He had never lived with humans, he was not house trained, he was afraid of cats and he was very anxious. I knew that without a deep understanding and correct use of Jan Fennell’s methods this dog might not make a successful transition to being a family pet. I therefore completed an introductory course in Canine Communication in Sydney when Jan toured Australia and New Zealand.

Later I travelled to the UK and trained with Jan Fennell and her son, Tony Knight and gained the Advanced Certificate in Canine Communication. This gave me the knowledge and experience to tackle a variety of problem behaviours in dogs.
